The location of the house is ideal for visiting the numerous art cities and picturesque towns in the immediate vicinity, such as San Gimignano with its well-preserved city center and a multitude of ancient towers, incidentally a UNESCO World Heritage Site, or Volterra with remains from the Etruscan period and a wonderful necropolis. In Siena, it is worth visiting the Duomo and the beautiful Piazza del Campo, where the famous medieval horse race, the Palio, is held twice a year, on July 2 and August 16. Florence awaits you with its impressive old town and cathedral, Michelangelo's David, the Ponte Vecchio, the Uffizi Gallery and a multitude of ancient squares. Those of you who appreciate local cuisine and excellent Tuscan wines can look forward to the countless wine cellars and typical trattorias and restaurants. At a distance of 47 km you will find Pisa with its Baptistery and Leaning Tower and at 52 km the pretty city of Lucca with its still complete ring-shaped city wall.
