Agriturismo with communal pool in the middle of the countryside
This agriturismo is located in the middle of the countryside and is surrounded by woods and streams. It is characterised by a unique fauna with wolves, stags, does, fallow deer and eagles. The agriturismo is secluded - ideal for enjoying the peace and quiet.
This agriturismo, a complex of old Tuscan stone farmhouses, has two holiday apartments and a holiday home with beamed ceilings and floors made of wood or clay tiles. The furniture and the materials used, such as wood, sandstone and wrought iron, are typical of the style of Tuscan country houses. A communal reading room is available to the guests with a library containing works on local history, art, culture, etc. Here, you can also acquire the organic products on display, which are produced through agricultural operations.
In the outdoor area, there is a children's playground as well as a swimming pool for communal use. Furthermore, there is a vegetable and fruit garden, a grill/barbecue and an arbour with tables and benches available to the guests. Pets are allowed.
The owner is a tour guide and, upon request, offers hiking and trekking in collaboration with the National Park – discover the wildest and most remote places of the Casentino woods. In addition, guided excursions are offered: Visit mountain passes, parishes, stately homes and medieval castles. Hiking maps continue to be made available. You can also assist on the farm and participate in the sale of organic products or in September, take part in counting deer in the National Park. Furthermore, there are riding stables nearby, which offer horse riding excursions. Anyone who, from memory, recites a poem from the Canti Orfici by the Italian poet, Dino Campana, will receive wine as a gift.
This agriturismo lies between Florence and Arezzo. The numerous mountain passes, monasteries and medieval stately homes are characteristic of the surroundings. The agriturismo is not far from the monastery of Camaldoli, which can be conveniently reached on foot, along short forest paths. You will find trattorias near to the agriturismo (approx. 4 - 5 km), which offer home cooking.
The living area of this holiday apartment extends over two levels. On the ground floor there is a bedroom with double bed, a bathroom with a shower, and a kitchen-cum-living room with a sofa bed at your disposal. The kitchen is equipped with an oven, gas hob, fridge with freezer compartment, and a coffee machine. On the upper floor, you have a bedroom with a double bed and a single bed, and a bedroom with two single beds.
