Enjoy your very own private waterfront on the Southlake end of Lake Mahopac. The water is literally outside the back door (see photos) with a beautiful stone patio and three steps leading down to your own private beach. On one end of the property there’s a hardscape dock with a fireplace, outdoor couch and adirondack chairs and at the other end there is a paved pathway leading to a dock where our 22’ Pontoon boat is tied up. There is also a 12 foot water trampoline and a private swim platform in the water in front of the property (seasonally).
The backyard has a shed full of water sport supplies including water skis, wakeboard, tubes, swim mat, snorkeling gear, life jackets, and fishing rods as well as Kan Jam, giant Jenga, Spikeball and an official American Cornhole Association Cornhole set. At the side of the shed there is a rack with three stand up paddle boards, a hardshell kayak and an inflatable kayak as well as a kids Funyak with all of the necessary paddles.
THE PROPERTY: Located at the intersection of Baldwin Place and South Lake Boulevard (also known as NY 6N), this property has a large driveway with ample space for 6 vehicles and room for up to three more on the street in front of the property.
MAIN FLOOR: The main floor consists of an open plan living/dining/kitchen area that opens up to the back patio and lakefront and at the front of the house there is a Movie/TV room, laundry room and ½ bath. The great room features a walk-in pantry and a fully stocked game closet with games and puzzles. All of the TVs have smart Amazon Fire Sticks and the whole house has complimentary hi-speed internet. The great room also features a wonderful gas insert fireplace that turns on instantly with a remote control. The house also features a WiFi connected Sonos sound system.
SECOND FLOOR: The second floor features a master bedroom and bathroom with lakefront views, as well as another full bath, two guest bedrooms with queen beds, and a kids room that has two bunk beds with double mattresses. There is also a pull out sofa in this room bringing the number of guests the house can accommodate up to 16 comfortably.
ENTRY/EXIT: We have a coded keypad for easy access self-check-in and check-out. We live nearby and are available for any issues or questions.
GETTING THERE: Located within 60 minutes (driving) from Manhattan with lots of great local shopping, dining, and hiking. The home is accessible via Metro North (Croton Falls Station) from Grand Central Station. Once at the station, the house is a short taxi/Uber away. Once at the house, you can also take a Taxi/Uber to all the adventures and activities in the area with local hiking, shopping, and incredible restaurants to explore. If you’re coming from somewhere else, this house is close enough to NYC that you could take the train in for a day in the city, catch some museums, a Broadway show, or a baseball game and easily make your way back to the house at the end of the day.
