The elegance of this house is in its comfortable simplicity. It's situated at 380 mt sea level in the bonny, quiet hills of Alassio - the famous tourist beach resort - far from us, only a ten-minute drive. The house belongs to the private Borgo (its first document is dated 1522), closed on the property of an ancient castle. It comprises three country houses: Villa la NiCChia, Il Gombo, and a private house for our family. It's part of a private Borgo, closed in the property of an ancient castle. Please note that each house has its own entrance, garden, pool, chill-out area, BBQ, and car parking. The Villa Maclura's pool will be open in April; our guests can decide if they will enjoy the cold water or only the sun! Four bedrooms, three bathrooms, a lounge, and a large kitchen on three floors for the exclusive use of guests. A small apartment on the top floor of the house - Villa la NiCChia - next door is only for us; we use it to welcome our guests and provide all the necessary assistance for a relaxing stay. The house, founded initially as a farmhouse, is now an elegant small mansion after a recent, complete and careful renovation: care in choosing the colors and accessories, furniture, recovering all original materials - terracotta floors, wooden beams at sight, stone, ancient staircase in slate (dating from the 9th century AD!), fireplace. Everything reminds us of the past, such as our medieval tower, which the City of Alassio wanted as a symbol of the town.

*Due to technical reasons, the bookings between 31 March and 11 May 2025 need to be made eight days earlier.
*Villa La Maclura is part of a single property, the ancient Borgo of the family castle; it comprises three detached but close houses and is 5.5 km from the center of Alassio. You can reach it by driving a typical Ligurian road, with two lanes and a certain number of curves, except for the last stretch (1,2 km), which is narrower for orographic reasons.
*Reading and following the house rules are part of the rental agreement. You will receive both before you come.
*Flexibility is our policy about many things, mainly two extra fees we want you to pay as you go. So, we also apply it regarding the additional fee due for good LPG heating (1), which we cannot quantify a priori. We will calculate the consumption with you on the morning of departure; the cost could be € 5,5 per m3.
The final cleaning cost (2) is not visible on the website payment summary because it varies according to the number of people and the number of nights stayed. The minimum payment is € 100, and the maximum is € 160, to be paid on the morning of departure. The Tourist Tax is 1,5 € per person per night. For your information, Alassio's Municipality Authority deliberated on accepting tourist tax payments only from the property's owner, not from any platform.
