Herb’s Hideaway is a quaint vacation destination in the beautiful White Mountains of New Hampshire. Relish in the updated interior & large screened-in porch. This suite is part of a 10 cottage property off of a main road in the White Mountains. It is the middle unit of a 3 unit building located on 2.65 acres of lakefront property boasting many community amenities.
It has its own screened-in three season room complete with a table and furniture for outdoor dining and recreation. Inside you will find a living room complete with a large Roku TV. The couch pulls out into a sleeper should you need sleep space for 4. There is also a full kitchen complete with a stove and cookware to create your favorite meals should you wish to do so. Inside the bedroom is another large TV as well as an extremely comfortable king sized bed and master bath. The bathroom was just renovated this spring and features a rainfall shower. Should you be someone who likes to keep your stay at a consistent temperature, two brand new heating and cooling units were installed this year to help keep you toasty in the winter and cool in the summer.
Outside is a short walk to the lake. There is a shared fire pit overlooking the lake. We also have kayaks (spring-fall only) that are located on the racks down by the lake denoted by the number 3. These are locked up but the code is supplied in your stay binder. There is no lifeguard on duty so please be aware to swim and kayak at your own risk. The lake also features exceptional fishing with many different varieties of fish to catch. In the summer, there is also a swim dock (Memorial Day-Labor Day) to paddle or swim out to and lounge.
Did I mention the mountains? Located just 15 minutes from Bretton Woods and 25 minutes from Cannon, skiing is extremely close by. Should snowmobiling be your thing, across the lake is a trail that connects southern NH all the way up to Canada! Please note that trailers are not allowed on property.
Fall foliage is an amazing time of year up here with many great hikes and scenic outlooks in close proximity should you wish to leave the property (which is also spectacular in the fall!!)

The suite is on a main road. While traffic patterns vary, you may notice road noise while you are staying at the home. We do provide white noise machines.
Is the property lake front?
Answer: Yes & there is a row of cottages closer to the lake.
What do you mean by shared property?
Answer: Our suite is part of the Lakeside Condominium Association. It sits on 2.65 acres which is shared with other cabins. You’ll have privacy in both the condo and screened-in porch and exclusive use of the kayaks/lake toys denoted #3. All other watercraft are private property of other cabin owners. On the shared grounds, you’ll often meet some great people (or have playmates for children) when you want to be more social. Shared amenities on property include the Adirondack chairs, picnic table, dock, fire pit, garden, and swim dock.
