The villa was constructed mainly using the materials from the old farmhouse that was on the site, so all the stone walls are original stone.
The nearest airport is Abruzzo Airport (Pescara), 60 kms from the villa. The airports of Naples and Rome are approximately 2.5 hours and 3 hours respectively by car from the house.
The areas around the house are very rural and rugged with splendid mountain views and a short drive to the Adriatic or to the ski areas. The people are very friendly and helpful and there are many good bars and restaurants within a relatively short distance.

The house is located deep in the countryside at the end of a dead end road in the south central part of Chieti Province in the Abruzzo Region of Italy close to Lago di Bomba (or Lago di Sangro) which is about the 15th largest lake in Italy at around 10 sq km in size. The villa sits at 500 metres above sea level overlooking the Val di Sangro and is 30 minutes away from blue flag beaches and less than an hour away from superb skiing.

More than 75% of all Europe's fauna and flora are represented in this area!
