Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: Lovely lakeside location in a peaceful setting. The property was a good size for two families and worked well for dogs. We were comfortable overall and enjoyed our New Year break.

Negative: Given the price, the property didn’t quite meet our expectations in terms of finish and overall presentation. The furnishings felt mismatched, with some items looking tired. The kitchen was a bit over-stocked with plates, utensils etc. which left little cupboard space for guests’ food, and there was burnt-on food in the main oven. We’ve stayed in other properties at a similar price point where everything feels more considered and well maintained, and while we had a pleasant stay and loved the location, we didn’t feel it quite represented good value for money at this price.
