Drog Penn is a studio-style detached cottage in Tregeseal, which rests on the outskirts of St Just, within the Penwith Heritage Coast Nature Reserve (Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty). Set over a single storey and sleeping two guests, Drog Penn is an inviting setting for your next getaway to Cornwall, within easy reach of Penzance and St Ives. Step into the property and into the studio-style open-plan living space, with a wooden double bed, a living area with a blue leather reclining sofa making a welcoming place to watch some television, and an amply-equipped kitchen area where you can rustle up an evening meal to enjoy round the dining table after a long day out exploring. Outside, there is parking for two cars on the gravel driveway, and an enclosed garden to the side with lawn for your furry friends to enjoy running around, and furniture for yourselves to enjoy a morning coffee in the fresh country air. Just a short walk away is the charming and vibrant town of St Just, where you can peruse a selection of shops and grab a tasty treat from the award winning Warrens Bakery (the oldest Cornish pasty producer in the World), fish and chip shop, pub or one of several cafés․ There is also a well stocked Coop for your groceries․ You will also find renowned artist Kurt Jackson's Gallery. A short drive takes you to the coast where you can enjoy the sandy beach at Sennen Cove (ideal for surfing) and the pebbled beach at Porth Nanven, Botallack Mine (Unesco World Heritage site), Cape Cornwall with its Golf Course, Porthcurno and the Minnack Theatre. In the opposite direction you can explore the port town of Penzance, which has plenty of amenities to keep you busy, as well as a lovely promenade with views of Battery Rocks and St Michael's Mount, as well as a bustling harbour, a train station and an art gallery. For an exciting day out, head towards Lands End, Porthcurno Mousehole, Nanjizal beach just to name a few․ The entire area was used as film locations for Poldark due to its natural unspoilt beauty and its mining heritage. Also in driving distance is the popular town of St Ives, which is known for its great surfing water and immaculate beaches, as well as home to many great museums and art galleries including the famous Tate Art Museum. Drog Penn is a well-located base for exploring all that Cornwall has to offer.
St Just is nearby Penzance, and is the closest town to Land's End. It is an ancient settlement that has a strong mining history and there are several monuments and prehistoric antiquities to visit including the Bronze Age settlement at Cape Cornwall, as well as a number of takeaways, shops, pubs and eateries. The town rests in the Penwith Heritage Coast Nature Reserve, so is a great base for walking, cycling and beach days.
