Our spacious, stylish and comfortably appointed 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom flat is less than one block from Hyde Park and 10 mins walk to Notting Hill. Family-friendly and equipped with everything you need to make it your home away from home.
The space & location
The flat is arranged over 2 floors - ground and lower ground and of a converted Victorian townhouse, located in Bayswater, W2. It is just moments (walking) from Hyde Park, Kensington, Notting Hill, and 2 underground stations - Queensway (Central line) and Bayswater (Circle, District and Hammersmith & City lines). It is 2 blocks from Queensway and the famous Whiteley's Shopping Centre (which is undergoing a major redevelopment) and tubes, buses, bicycle hire, grocery stores, restaurants, pubs and bars are also just moments away. There is no better location in London to base yourself to access all the major sites and amenities that you need. You can walk to Notting Hill in less than 10mins and Hyde Park is less than a minute away! The shopping districts of Oxford Street and Bond Street are just 3 tube stops or a short taxi ride away.
The property sleeps 6-10 people. There are 3 double bedrooms to accommodate 6 adults on beds. There is a further daybed in the dining area, which can sleep 2 further adults - on either 2 singles, or a king sized bed. There are also two single airbeds available which would be suitable for children. There is also a travel cot for a baby/toddler. The flat has 2 full bathrooms (1 ensuite to the master bedroom).
The property is accessed via a door shared entry/hall with the other flats in the building and the main door to the flat is just at the end of the hall, on the ground floor. There are two large double bedrooms on the ground floor, and the rest of the flat is lower ground, including open plan living/kitchen, dining room, master bedroom with king-sized bed and ensuite bathroom with a walk-in shower. There is a further family bathroom with a shower over bathtub on this level.
Bedrooms 2 and 3 are on the ground floor level as you come in. They both face an internal terrace. Bedroom 2 is a large room with two single beds, recessed wardrobes and a dressing table/desk. Bedroom 3 has a door leading to the terrace, and has a double bed, built in wardrobes and dressing table/desk.
The kitchen has a breakfast bar area with seating for 2 and has everything you need to prepare meals at home. It has a fridge/freezer, electric 4-burner stove top, electric oven, dishwasher, microwave, Nespresso coffee maker, American filter coffee maker, French press, kettle, toaster, lots of pots, pans, plates, cutlery, glassware, etc. We also have a 'baking pack' available - ideal for longer-term stays and baking enthusiasts. The washer is in the kitchen and there is a vented tumble dryer upstairs.
The living room includes an extra-long sofa, chair, book stand with a large-screen television with a Roku streaming stick which gives some live TV options as well as access to all the usual apps (note subscription based apps like Prime, Netflix etc are available through your own subscription so please bring your login info). There is also a DVD player and fast fibre optic WiFi – great if you have to login to work.
The dining area features skylights which bring in lots of light during the day and make for a lovely atmosphere in the evening. The dining table seats 6. The dining room also has a convertible daybed which can be used as a sofa during the day, or can convert to 2 single full-height beds, or a king sized bed. If you are using it as 2 singles, or a king-sized, it just takes a couple of minutes to roll the second bed out from under the daybed to give you more passing room, and pop the legs up. In the morning, you can just fold everything away again.
The terrace is accessed via Bedroom 3 and is a lovely place for a morning coffee or evening cocktail.
The flat has very high ceilings and original wooden parquet flooring throughout, and has been interior designed to be light and airy.
Children are welcome and a travel cot and high chair are available.
Other things to note – as it is over 2 floors, and there is a small flight of stairs up from the street level to access the townhouse, it would not be suitable for those with restricted mobility.
