The house is in a quiet location with a view of the hills. Each flat has a terrace with garden furniture and a sun umbrella from which you have an enchanting view of the hills. The 4 by 8 metre swimming pool, 1.5 metre deep, is communal and has an outdoor shower and plenty of sun loungers. The sanitising treatment is carried out by means of salt electrolysis and therefore the water has a slightly saline taste.
There is a parking space/garage in the yard in front of the house.
The flats have kitchens equipped with a dishwasher, oven and refrigerator and have one (pink) or two bedrooms (yellow) according to the guests' needs. The one-bedroom flat (pink) can be connected with a studio with a double bed and an additional bathroom and can thus accommodate up to 6 persons at additional cost. Each flat has a private terrace with a view of the swimming pool and the hills where the best Nebbiolo grapes ripen, from which the delicious Barolo wine is obtained after fermentation and maturation of the wine for at least 5 years in the famous Slavonian oak barrels. The third flat (taverna) that is the subject of this presentation is a studio and does not have a dishwasher. In the flats guests will find satellite television, free wifi and in the pink and yellow, air conditioning. Parking for three cars in the courtyard is free. A closed garage is available on request.
The house is 400 m from the centre of Serralunga, where the most beautiful medieval castle in the Langhe and Roero area, rich in castles from various periods between 1200 and 1800, stands majestic and imposing. That of Serralunga had a precise military function as a fortress for sighting and defence against Saracen invasions. Since 1949, the castle has belonged to the State and is part of the Piedmont regional museum complex. Thanks to its location, the house allows guests to visit the village of Serralunga on foot and to go to the various restaurants (at least 5) without using a car, which is particularly convenient and safe when one wants to taste the famous wines of the area, accompanying them with the delicious gastronomic specialities in which the territory is rich, including the famous White Truffle of Alba. Not far from your flats there are numerous paths for walks in the hills and vineyards or routes suitable for excursions by bicycle or car to Roddino , Bossolasco (757 m a.s.l.) Monforte, Diano d'Alba, Montelupo, Albaretto, Dogliani, Murazzano, Marsaglia, Mombarcaro (896 m a.s.l.) from which, on fine days, you can see the Ligurian Sea.
Every year in October and November, the renowned White Truffle Fair is held in Alba, 15 km from Serralunga, attracting thousands of tourists from all over the world. Another locality not far from Serralunga is Bra, where every two years in September the equally famous cheese fair is held, where producers of the most famous and delicious cheeses from all over the world meet. For all these reasons, from spring to late autumn, the house is an ideal spot for food and wine holidays and more.
