In the heart of the Florentine Chianti, only 5 minutes by car from the charming and ancient hamlet of Tavarnelle Val di Pesa and overlooking the Chianti valley and vineyards, we offer you a Tuscan-style holiday home with a communal swimming pool and a private terrace equipped for your outdoor meals! The holiday home is situated in a property which comprises a villa (ITC957) and a barn divided into two apartments. The rental is very spacious and particularly suitable for families with children or for groups of friends who wish to spend their holidays together. The house has the architectural features of Tuscan buildings such as wooden beams, terracotta flooring and some walls with stone details. The layout is rustic but very comfortable. From one of the double rooms you will have access to another private terrace. All the guests of the property have at their disposal a large green area near the entrance of the property, in the middle of which there is a swimming pool equipped with deckchairs. From there, you can take beautiful walks. Guided tours of the Chianti region for mountain bike enthusiasts. Cooking and baking classes and wine tastings can be organised. Price information and timetables to be seen on site. In April, May and June you can participate free of charge in some of the activities in the rental ITC958: first of all cooking classes (which take place directly in the accommodation) and workshops to learn how to prepare typical Tuscan dishes: "pappa al pomodoro" (bread and tomato soup) and "cantuccini" (cake). You can learn how to cook these dishes and then you will be given the original recipe. If you prefer, go for a walk on the Via Francigena. The owner will accompany you by car to the starting point of the road, then follow the 15 km long path, in the footsteps of the pilgrims, which offers beautiful views. After reaching your goal, you will be driven back to the rental car. Thirdly, you can also hike in the surrounding area and take part in wine tastings in the wine cellars. Fourth, for half a day take your mountain bike and go for a ride. If you don't have yours with you, you can rent one on site. Please let the owner know your arrival time and which workshop you would like to attend. On request and against payment on site: access to a small spa (1km away) with sauna, Turkish bath and massage room. Possibility to buy the products of the farm: olive oil, wine and vinanto. Distances: Marcialla (approx. 2.5 km), Castellina in Chianti (approx. 20 km), Greve in Chianti (approx. 24 km), the medieval hamlet of Montefioralle, Florence (approx. 40 km) and Siena (approx. 45 km).
