Chenalls Cottage, is a detached former farmhouse in a wonderful rural location and boasts many traditional features; granite fireplaces, timber panelled walls and beamed ceilings. It is beautifully presented with a classic mix of old antiques and modern furnishings to provide a modern yet characterful homely space. From the entrance hall, doors lead through to the utility area and shower room, a modern kitchen with dining table for family meals and the lounge has a lovely tiled floor and wood burning stoves at each end providing warmth and charm that adds to the character. On the first floor are three, cream carpeted bedrooms keeping with the theme of offering traditional character with modern touches. Two are double rooms and one a twin room. The family bathroom has a bath and separate shower. Outside, guests have freedom to explore the land that extends down behind the farmhouse and the adjoining orchard. There is also a summer house where BBQs and alfresco breakfasts can be enjoyed and there is convenient parking directly outside the property. There is a lovely restaurant just across the road, day time opening and the ancient market town of Helston, home of the Furry Dance, is within five miles where there are two major supermarkets, pubs and restaurants. Venture a little further to Gweek and have a day out at the seal sanctuary. Chenalls Cottage is well placed for exploring West Cornwall and ideal for friends and family visiting whatever the time of year.
Porthleven is one of south west Cornwall's hidden coastal gems, located near Helston famous for its annual Flora Dance Festival. Situated between Lizard Point and Land's End, Porthleven retains the feel of a traditional Cornish fishing village, enjoying uninterrupted views of the Atlantic Ocean and the beautiful Cornish coastline. The iconic clock tower sits on the harbour entrance and the pubs, shops, cafés and restaurants cluster around the historic picturesque inner harbour, where there is plenty of boating and marine activity.
