Located on the southern edge of New Forest National Park, on the west bank of the Lymington River, is the charming market town of Lymington. As well as being a favoured sailing resort, there are also regular ferry links to the Isle of Wight. You can stroll through the town's many unique shops selling handmade goods or indulge in a meal at one of the town's many restaurants. The New Forest's heathlands and ancient woodlands, as well as the five miles of coastal nature reserves that end at the shingle spit where Henry VIII's Hurst Castle was constructed in 1554, make up the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty that surrounds Lymington.
