Welcome to Borough Cottage, our beautiful 3 bedroom Georgian (17th century) country cottage with a private garden located right in the heart of of Chipping Norton. The property its just a short walk to boutique shops, charming cafes and restaurants, antique shops, village cinema and a public lido. Whether you're visiting for a weekend, a business trip or some well deserved time off, you will create lasting memories in this charming cottage.
Property -
A recently renovated and spacious 3-bedroom cottage set over 3 storeys, with many original features and also offers access to a private garden terrace to relax and wind down. The cottage kitchen is fully equipped with a dining table, dishwasher, Nepresso machine, rangemaster gas hob/oven, wine cooler and microwave. The living room features a wood burning fireplace teamed with ample cosy seating area and a smart TV linked to high speed WIFI. There are 3 bedrooms with different bed sizes to cater different family configurations. On the 1st floor, there is a main bathroom with both bathtub and shower. Next to it is the master bedroom with a king size bed, dressing table/chair, built-in wardrobe and an ensuite bathroom. On the 2nd floor, there are two rooms. First bedroom to the right of the staircase consists of a superking size bed (6' x 6'6") that could be reconfigured to two single beds (3' x 6'6") together with a dressing table/chair, and built-in wardrobe. The final bedroom has a double size bed and a pine wardrobe with the view of the town. Towels and bed linen are all provided. The garden is accessed through the kitchen into the terrace and patio with a outdoor dining table/chairs.
Location -
Situated in the centre of Chipping Norton, the gateway to the Cotswolds and just a short walk to the local shops and restaurants. Diddly-Squat Farm shop (Jeremy Clarkson's Farm from Clarkson's Farm TV series) is a 4 minute drive or 25 minute walk from Borough Cottage. Soho Farmhouse and Daylesford Organic are a 10 minutes’ drive away. Blenheim Palace is a 20 minutes’ drive away and picturesque towns of Burford, Broadway or Stow on the Wold all less than 20 minutes’ drive away. Walton Hall is 30 minutes’ drive from the Borough Cottage, while Oxford city is 30-40 minutes’ drive from the property.
